The Official Railroad Station List, known in the rail industry as the OPSL, is a critical rail industry publication governing rail geography.  The OPSL gives carriers one central source in which to publish an authoritative list of their stations and facilities. It contains data about railroads, station notes (that delineate what services can be provided or will not be provided at specific carrier locations) and revenue interchange points derived from the Junction Interchange File.

Used to establish and manage group prices, it is the definitive, up-to-date rail station publication for thousands of rate publications. It is also the primary source for many more thousands of contracts for the shipment of goods by rail. Participating carriers use the OPSL as their governing station publication. Shippers, transportation carriers, brokers and consultants subscribe to the OPSL to learn the latest changes in station geography.
